Our team has seen devastating news last month, when a deadly tsunami hit several coastal regions of Java and Sumatra, Indonesia. It came without warning–at least 426 people were killed. The tsunami followed an eruption of Anak Krakatau volcano in the Sunda Strait, which made parts of the volcano collapse into the sea.
This made us wonder: how does volcanic tsunami work? And what can we do to stay safe when it happens? Luckily, it wasn't that hard for our 3D artists to help visualize the natural occurrence in AR. The 3D model of volcanic tsunami is now available to access in our educational account, @LearnWithAssemblr. It comes with slide notes, which do not only describe the typical sequence of a tsunami, but also tips on how to stay safe when it occurs.
The model is readily accessible and free to use. You can present it at your convenience, be it straight from your smartphone or through a plugged-in projector. Hopefully, you'd be able to share this valuable knowledge to your classes, friends, and families. Stay safe, everyone!
