We’re thrilled to announce that we’re joining Facebook Accelerator Singapore Season 2, in partnership with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and powered by Plug and Play Asia Pacific! During this 6-month program, we’ll receive practical training, mentorship with experts, as well as access to a network of opportunities.
After going through the registration process since October 2019, 14 startups were selected from all over the Asia Pacific region. Besides Assemblr, there are two other startups chosen from Indonesia, namely Qiscus and Halosis.
In this program, selected startups will have access to practical training through three bootcamps in Singapore to learn how to scale up our businesses and address key business challenges. We'll also get mentored directly by experts from Facebook and the Singapore government. The program, formerly known as "Startup Station Singapore", focuses on startups that are aligned with Facebook's products, technology and platforms – which includes those engaged in social/conversational commerce, messaging, and AR and VR.
As an Augmented Reality (AR) platform, this course is surely a perfect opportunity for us to learn and develop business further with a data-driven approach. "The mentors from Facebook appointed for us are specifically matched to tackle our biggest challenge in Assemblr and Augmented Reality industry in general," our CEO and founder Hasbi Asyadiq said.
Just the other day, we had our first virtual meeting with fellow founders of the selected startups in this batch. Later on, our respective mentors and coaches will do weekly check-ins to see how we’re progressing. So pumped!
Assemblr itself is not a startup that is unfamiliar with accelerator programs. Previously, we had been invited to Y Combinator interview for an accelerator program in Silicon Valley, November 2017 and May 2018. Then, we participated in a 10-week Startup School program by Y Combinator in the same year. This year, it will be joining Plug and Play Accelerator Program Indonesia batch 6 and BCA SYNRGY Accelerator Program batch 2.
Regarding this program, Hasbi Asyadiq said,
"We are very happy to be part of the program. We believe Facebook Accelerator can bring us a lot of benefits both in product and business development. We see that Facebook puts a lot of attention in Augmented Reality and we believe we can learn a lot about their approach and align with their future roadmap to bring 3D and Augmented Reality to a much broader audience.”
Looking forward to more learning and growth this year!
