Three years ago, we built Classic Editor as our first-ever Editor mode in Assemblr. Thousands of impressive augmented reality (AR) creations have been brought to the world since then, but as time passed by, we've noticed that there are fewer and fewer people using it.

We believe that's a sign for us to evaluate and iterate. After a long discussion, we've come up with the best decision: closing off the Classic Editor.

We don't consider this as a farewell. It's just—you'll be able to see the editor in another form of development. Learning from the facts and data, we thought that it would be better to give room for other improvements, especially in improving the overall app experiences.

Our main goal has always been to simplify the process of creating AR content. That said, we'd like to focus more on developing the Simple Editor, which is a much simpler way to build any AR content.

For those of you who'd like to bid your farewell, Classic Editor will still be available until 25 November. If you wonder about the fates of your Classic Editor creations, no need to panic! You'll be able to access and they will also stay in your library—only that you won't be able to edit them later.

As for our next journey, we promise to continue and develop our apps, so you can enjoy a much seamless experience.

Let's create one last memory with Classic Editor! Don't forget to share your creation with us as well. 😉

In Assemblr, we believe that all people—including you—can create and present your own AR experiences. With an easy-to-use application, Assemblr empowers people to implement AR in any occasion.
